Our heat experience is included in all Verbena Spa day packages, so don't forget to arrive in time to utilise our cleansing facilities to the full. The heat experience combines use of the saunarium, aromatherapy room, salt vapour room, monsoon shower, ice cave and foot spas inside, while outside, our hot tub and heated pool make for a uniquely revitalising experience.
So you know a little more about these facilities, we have outlined them here for you to have a look at before you visit.
Aromatherapy Room
We've added natural aromatherapy essences to help tired minds and bodies drift away from the turmoil of the day. Perfect for relaxation, increasing circulation, cleansing and toning the skin - essential oils are infused into the room, allowing you to gently de stress. Great for the respiratory system and relieve congestion. The aromatherapy room also serves as a very gentle exfoliant, leaving skin glowing and beautifully smooth.
Salt Vapour Room
The benefits and the experience of our salt vapour room are similar to a walk along the beach, imagine the sea spray and that crisp, clean aroma... You also feel the benefit of higher humidity, giving a “softer” heat, which combined with the salt water mist, helps alleviate respiratory problems. Skin is smoother and any dryness or sensitivity is noticably reduced. The warm salt water mist also leaves you beautifully refreshed with a sense of positivity and wellbeing.
Saunarium
The Saunarium has long been known to aid relaxation, and at Verbena Spa, relaxation is what we do best. Let the heat envelop you to help soothe and unwind your body and mind, and let your cares drift away, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the day of pampering that lies ahead.
Monsoon Feature Shower
The Monsoon shower is the perfect way to refresh between heat treatments, offering either "tropical" warmth or “arctic” cool, to suit your mood. Brilliant for cleansing your body and soul.
The Ice Cave
The Ice Cave is based on the Finnish custom of rolling in the snow, where the user can take handfuls of ice flakes from the continuously fed ice bowl, to rub into the skin, closing the pores and allowing the body to cool down quickly after experiencing a hot room treatment. Truly invigorating!
Foot Spa
What better way to relax in between enjoying a variety of heat experiences than to have your feet gently massaged in warm bubbling water. This time also allows the body to adjust naturally after any heat treatment experience.
The foot spa is filled to your chosen temperature. The relaxation continues as you sit and unwind on a heated bench allowing you to completely unwind throughout the experience.
Outdoor Hot Tub
Our hot tub will hold up to six guests and is located adjacent to our spa garden, a few steps from the indoor heat experience facilities and from our outdoor heated pool (all year around). From here, you’ll overlook the spa garden and enjoy a view over to Helmsley Castle.
Outdoor Heated Pool
Open all year round the pool is very much the centre of our secluded courtyard area. It’s up to 2m deep in places. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of swimming in a heated pool whilst breathing fresh, cool air. Beautifully refreshing after a relaxing few hours in the heat experience.
Rasul
The Rasul is a traditional Arabian cleansing ritual, which will leave you feeling pure and calm, and your skin beautifully exfoliated. The treatment experience takes place in an exotic private room within our heat experience. You'll apply different coloured medicinal chakra muds to specific areas of your bodies, while inhaling steam delicately infused with pure herbs, to help cleanse your respiratory system. The muds cleanse, tone, and soften the skin and you sit and unwind on heated thrones. The ritual ends with warm tropical rain pouring down from the dome of the Rasul temple to gently wash the muds away. A truly invigorating experience. (chargeable)
