Interior Designer - Rachel Mclane
The interior design of Verbena Spa was a much discussed subject!! We wanted to stay true to our core design themes throughout the Feversham Arms and carry that through into the spa. Rachel has done a marvellous job with her usual attention to all the detail. Rachel has two small children, and lives locally so has been on site nearly everyday to ensure the end product is wonderful. As a spatial consultant too, she ensures we don't have a spa that just has all the looks, but is also practical and purposeful to our customers.
We are delighted with Rachel's work at both Verbena Spa and The Feversham Arms Hotel some of the reasoning behind the success of the design is explained by Rachel here.
I learnt early on that by dismantling a building or part of one and re configuring its internal spaces the environment could be improved. I had an instinct for arranging things and was sensitive to the spaces around me. I always had to make sure that everything felt 'just right.’
